Leadership DiSCover EI is an emotional intelligence and personality enhancement program designed for leaders at all levels. It provides the opportunity for participants to receive one on one coaching to develop their emotional intelligence capabilities over a 6 - 8 week period, using insights from a Genos 360 EI Feedback Report and an Everything DiSC® Personality Profile. After building an understanding of your personality style and how to demonstrate emotionally intelligent behaviours through the foundation modules, participants then develop their leadership effectiveness by experential learning and on the job application through the enhancement modules as outlined below. The program can be modified to meet individual needs and budgets with the flexibiity to pick and choose modules to build a tailored program.

Introduction to Emotional Intelligence

The introduction explores the concept of emotional intelligence from discovery to application using experiential exercises to help understand the neuroscience of emotions. You will delve into the emotional intelligent behaviours that underpin the Genos model, start looking at events that cause productive and unproductive emotions and the impact emotions can have on your decisions, behaviour and performance and how you impact those around you.
Personality and Emotional Intelligence

Personality and EI explores the impact our personality style has on our ability to display emotionally intelligent behaviours. By combining the personalised insights of Everything DiSC® Workplace™ with the foundation of emotional intelligence covered in Module 1, you will discover an agile approach to workplace interactions and learn to navigate outside your comfort zone adaping your mindset, empowering you to meet the demands of any situation.
EI Personal Debrief

Feedback is crucial in building self-awareness. In this module you will receive a personal debrief using data generated from a Genos 360 degree assessment to determine how well you are seen to demonstrate emotionally intelligent behaviours, and how important it is to do so, from the perspective of others. Drawing on the knowledge from the first two modules and through insights and conversation with your Coach, you will identify actions you can take in response to feedback received to help you become more effective in your leadership role.

Module1
Self Awareness

This model focuses on the foundation of Emotional Intelligence - self-awareness. Self-awareness is the ability to perceive and understand our own emotions and various aspects of oneself. It encompasses your personality, actions, values, beliefs, emotions, and thoughts. Particpants will build on the previous modules and concepts to identify how to become more aware of your own emotions and understand how you impact those around you .
Module 2
Awareness of Others

Awareness of others refers to the skill of perceiving and understanding how other people feel. It involves being attuned to emotions expressed through facial expressions, body language, and tones of voice. In this module you will explore how to be more empathetic and learn how to consider others' perspective, demonstrating curiosity rather than being judgemental. You will also walk away with an understanding of how you trigger emotions in others and how to manage the frustration of others' not meeting your expectations.
Module 3
Self Management

Participants are exposed to pro-active and reactive techniques to help effectively regulate and manage emotions, helping to respond to strong emotions and build resilience. Participants are also introduced to the practise of mindfulness as a means of coping with leadership challenges through a series of exercises. Finally, we look at a model to help you coach others in their response to distressing events.
Module 4
Authenticity

The focus of this module is Authenticity. How you express your emotions and the extent to which you express your emotions at the right time, the right and to the right degree, will build trust amongst colleagues . You will explore what 'effective' and 'ineffective' emotional expression looks like and why it is important for leaders to effectively express how they feel in the workplace. You will then learn about and practise how to facilitate an authentic conversation using a tried and tested model that delivers results.
Module 5
Emotional Reasoning

This topic explores emotional reasoning and why it is important in the decision making process. You will explore what 'effective' and 'ineffective' emotional reasoning looks like and how it enables leaders to effectively drive change in organisations. You will also look at how emotional data can lead to bias in decision making and how you can draw on purpose and values to guide your reasoning leading to ethical decisions .
Module 6
Inspiring Performance
2hrs
The program concludes by looking at how to inspire performance in others. You will learn how to empower other people and unleash their full potential by exploring the science of human motivation, drawing from the concepts already covered. You will learn an approach that will enable you to have tailored conversations with individuals, helping boost employee motivation and engagement, leading to increased performance outcomes.
